I noticed the community hasn't been updated in a long time, but I still have a general question.

Last year I completed second year Japanese at a community college. I am wishing to continue to third year, but I would like to continue as non-matriculated student for fall quarter, since I have missed the deadline to apply. What is the likelihood of actually getting into a third year course as a non-matriculated student? Do they generally fill up? Likewise, if I am unable to get into third year as a non-matriculated student, what options would I have to continue in Japanese and not have to wait another year?

yeah, I will have no priority at all, not even on the waiting list. I plan on being a matriculated for winter quarter. I am really dreading missing fall quarter and having to wait another year to being in third year classes.
